We have made several attempts to initiate the process of establishing an nbn network connection to your building, however we have been unsuccessful in our engagement with the building’s authorised representative. Consequently, nbn does not currently plan to install a network connection to your building, unless we receive a request from the Owners’ Corporation.

We’ll perform quality assurance tests to prepare your site for the connection. Once this is complete, we will make the development ready to connect.

We will conduct a site inspection and make sure the nbn infrastructure has been built to standard. If no remediation is required, we will provide a Certificate of Practical Completion (PCC).
We encourage you to log in to the nbn New Developments Portal regularly. We’ll provide feedback on your plans and designs via the portal to make sure you’re on track.
Once your designs are accepted, you can start building the nbn® infrastructure within your property boundary.
While you can refer to our guidelines, we encourage developers to seek the assistance of an industry professional or nbn® trained New Developments supplier – designer or installer.
It’s your responsibility to ensure the design and build of the nbn infrastructure within your property boundary meets our standards, and the assistance of an nbn trained designer or installer can be extremely helpful.
You will be emailed a unique registration code to create an account on the nbn New Developments Portal.
To access the portal, first time users can use the link in their confirmation email.
Here you can manage your applications, including the tasks you need to complete to help meet the estimated “Ready for Service” date for your development.
The Developer (also known as Contract Signatory) will need to agree to the legally binding terms to confirm the application. You will also need to pay the relevant charges (as applicable) for each new premises that requires a new nbn® connection.
Once you have paid the charges and agreed to the terms, if it applies for your development you will be sent a letter of conditional approval (also known as a council letter).

Under government policy, nbn is required to recover costs of deploying the nbn access network infrastructure by applying a developer contribution charge per premises. Other additional charges may also apply.
Complete an online eligibility check and submit an application for a detailed assessment. Here you must also submit a service plan or master development plan which details how you will install nbn infrastructure (Lead-in Conduits (LIC), pit and pipes, or pathways).
We’ll assess your application, and confirm the charges involved and how long it will take to connect your development.
So you’ve chosen your building partners (builder, architect, contractor or an nbn trained supplier) and you have your planning and building permits. Now is the perfect time to start planning for the nbn broadband access network.
If you are building a small development, such as a sub-dividing a lot into two residential units, please allow a minimum of three months’ notice before the required service date to help ensure the network can be connected in time for new residents. For all other developments, allow a minimum of six months’ notice before an active nbn connection is required. Keep in mind, all nbn infrastructure within your property boundary needs to be installed following our guidelines or you may have to remediate it later if it is not built to our standards.
